A daily book for iPhone · Coming soon
The private daily record for your whole life.
One page for every day: what happened, what you spent, what’s booked and what’s due. Your tasks, documents, vehicles and certificates sit right beside it. It all stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to us, and we can’t read it.
- No account
- No ads or tracking
- No AI services
- Free export
One book instead of five apps and a drawer
Most of us keep our lives in pieces: a notes app, a to-do app, a shoebox of receipts, a logbook in the truck, a folder of tickets and licences. EveryDayBook puts them in one book, filed by day, so any day, job or week can be found again.

How it works
There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to set up. Open the app and today’s page is waiting.
Write the day
Open today’s page and type. Or say “Add to my book” with Siri, or use it in the Shortcuts app, to add a line without opening the app.
Keep what comes with it
Add documents and photos, tick off tasks, note what you spent, and see your Apple Calendar beside what actually happened.
Read it back
Search the whole book, export all of it as plain text whenever you like and, with Plus, pull your days together into reports.
What’s inside
EveryDayBook 1.0 is for iPhone. Use the parts you need and ignore the rest.
Your days
- Daily book: one page for every day, to write what happened and come back to it later.
- Calendar: what’s booked, beside what happened, from the Apple Calendar already on your iPhone.
- Health Plus: steps and calories from Apple Health beside your day. More below.
- Search: find anything you’ve written, across the whole book.
Things to do
- Tasks & lists: things to do, and the lists you keep re-writing.
- Goals: what you’re working towards.
- Ideas: the ones you’d otherwise lose.
- Meetings: what was said, kept with the day it happened.
Paperwork & the things you own
- Money: what you spent and what came in.
- Documents: receipts, papers and photos, kept in the book instead of a drawer.
- Certificates: tickets, licences and certifications in one place.
- Garage: your vehicles and the work done on them.
- Things & family: what you own, and the people in your life.
Yours to keep
- Export: your whole book as plain-text Markdown files, any time, free.
- Import: bring in an existing journal written in Markdown, so you don’t start from zero.
- Reports Plus: pull your days together into a report.
- Siri & Shortcuts: “Add to my book” without opening the app.
Made for people who keep a proper record
A journal remembers your day. EveryDayBook keeps the record.
On the tools
Tradespeople and crews: what you did and where, what you spent, and the tickets and certifications you need to keep current.
Running a small operation
Contractors and small operators: jobs, meetings, money and paperwork, filed on the day they happened.
Keeping a household
Vehicles and their service, important documents, the family, and the days that mattered.
EveryDayBook started as one person’s daily book in Grande Prairie, Alberta: notes, receipts and the calendar, all on dated pages so any day, job or week could be found again later.
Health beside your day Plus
With EveryDayBook Plus, turn on Health and your steps, active calories and resting calories from Apple Health sit beside each day’s page.
Read only
EveryDayBook reads those three readings. It never writes anything to Apple Health.
Stays on your iPhone
Health readings are never synced to iCloud and never sent to us or anyone else.
Your call
It only asks for access when you turn Health on, and you can change that any time in Settings.
Health readings are there to help you keep a record. They aren’t medical advice; talk to your doctor before making any decision about your health. Details are in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Your book is between you and your iCloud. We can’t see it.
There’s no EveryDayBook account and no EveryDayBook server. Your book lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, and nothing you write is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your account with us
- There isn’t one. No sign-up, no email, no password.

- Ads, analytics, tracking
- None.
- AI
- The app doesn’t send any of your content to an AI service.
- Health readings
- Read only, kept on your iPhone, never put in iCloud.

Questions
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no EveryDayBook account. Your book is tied to the Apple Account you’re already signed into on your iPhone.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone. EveryDayBook 1.0 isn’t available for iPad or Mac.
Where is my book stored?
Only on your iPhone and in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account. Documents and photos are kept in the app’s folder in your iCloud Drive. If iCloud is off, your book stays on your iPhone only. There’s no EveryDayBook server, and nothing is sent to us.
Can you read what I write?
No. Most of what you write (entries, names and notes) is end-to-end encrypted in iCloud, so only your own devices can read it. Other details, such as dates and amounts, have Apple’s standard iCloud security. Documents and photos become end-to-end encrypted if you turn on Apple’s Advanced Data Protection. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Does it use AI?
No. The app contains no AI services and doesn’t send any of your content to one.
What’s the 100-document limit?
The free version includes up to 100 documents (receipts, papers and photos you add). EveryDayBook Plus adds unlimited documents, along with reports and Health.
Can my family share Plus?
Yes. Plus can be shared with members of your Apple Family Sharing group, under Apple’s Family Sharing terms.
How do I cancel Plus?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Refunds are requested from Apple.
What happens if my subscription ends?
Everything already in your book stays yours, and you can still read, search and export it.
Can I export my book, or bring in an old journal?
Yes. Export your whole book as plain-text Markdown files at any time, free; they open in any text editor. You can also import an existing journal written in Markdown.
